Ohio Roundtable Issues Statement Regarding Mandatory Sick Leave
August 05 2008
The American Policy Roundtable

Strongsville, OH - The following statement was issued by David Zanotti, President and CEO of the Ohio Roundtable regarding the mandatory sick leave issue.

“This is not about sick leave, this is not about achieving justice for workers, this is about defeating a seriously flawed and economically dangerous measure. Since the Governor has conceded this measure is seriously flawed, we ask him to lead the effort to defeat mandatory sick leave on the November ballot.”

The Ohio Roundtable encourages all Ohioans to contact Governor Strickland at 614-466-3555 and express their concerns.

Getting Involved

What you can do to protect Ohio Families, Workers and Businesses:

Don’t be fooled by the phony “Healthy Families Act” (Issue 4) - it is a job killer for Ohio.

Contact your state legislator immediately. Let him/her know that you oppose Issue 4 and the effort to mandate paid sick leave for Ohio workers.

On November 4th vote NO on Issue 4 which would mandate state-dictated sick pay laws upon Ohio families, workers and companies.

Tell others about this phony plan and encourage them to vote NO on Issue 4 on November 4th.
